Prices and payouts
Share prices follow the crowd, so the less popular side pays more per dollar if it lands.
Why a 30¢ side pays more
Prices on ODDS are set by the crowd, not by ODDS. When most people call Up, Up shares get expensive and Down shares get cheap. The same dollar buys more shares on the cheaper side.
| Side | Price per share | Shares for $1 |
|---|---|---|
| Up | 70¢ | about 1.4 |
| Down | 30¢ | about 3.3 |
If Down lands, holding 3.3 shares instead of 1.4 is what makes the payout per dollar larger. Prices keep moving while the round is open, so the price you get is the price at the moment you buy.
Range markets
Range markets price every outcome together, so the prices across all ranges add up to about 100¢. Buying one range raises its price and lowers the others.
Fees, settlement and claims
Coming with the contracts
The protocol fee, the price source used to settle rounds, the asset you stake and any claim deadline are set in the smart contracts. They are not final yet. This page will list each of them, with contract addresses, before trading opens. Estimates shown in the preview are illustrative only.
